  1. Ownership of the Content

    2. The CCP owns the compilation of content posted on the website, which consists of text, images, audio, video, databases, design, codes, and software (“Content”). This does not mean that the CCP owns each component of the compilation, some of which may be owned by others and used with their permission or used in accordance with applicable law (e.g., fair use). Further, the CCP owns some, but not all, of the intellectual property rights in the Content, including copyright.

  2. Types of Content

    3. Content in the CCP Collections website falls into one of three categories for purposes of your use:


    1. Open Access Collections

      2. Content hereunder is made available to the public and may be used for noncommercial purposes without fee or copyright restriction.

      For a Content to be included in the Open Access Collection, it must be a:

      • Work under public domain; or
      • Must have written permission from the creator/s

      However, use of the abovementioned contents may be limited by rights granted under other pertinent laws, rules and regulations i.e. Data Privacy Act, etc.

      While requestors do not need CCP’s permission to use this Content for non-commercial purposes, they are still responsible for obtaining any third-party permissions that may be required for commercial uses. Requestors may also request for the HD copy of the Content by completing the Content Accessibility Form.

    2. Other Content – Usage Conditions Apply

      3. All other materials are subject to usage conditions due to copyright and/or other restrictions. To access Content with usage conditions, you must:

      • Request permission to access the Content through the Content Accessibility form;
      • Sign the letter agreement with the CCP and pay the applicable access fees;
      • Cite the author and source of the Content;
      • Cite and link to, when possible, the CCP Collections Website as the source of the Content;
      • Not remove any copyright or other proprietary notices including attribution information, credits, watermarks, and CCP logo, that are placed in or near the text, images, or data;
      • Comply with all terms or restrictions (such as copyright, trademark, publicity and privacy rights, or contractual restrictions) as may be specified in the agreement or as may otherwise apply to the Content metadata.
    3. Commercial Use of Content with Usage Conditions

      4. Commercial distribution or circulation of Content involves sale, projects with financial gain, or fundraising. Absent express permission, requestors may not sell Content under this type or sell materials, products, or services that use and incorporate such Content.

      The Content under this type shall be used consistent with the usage conditions provided above. Apart from the usage conditions, they are also identified as suitable to use for commercial purposes.

    *Philippine Registry of Cultural Property (PRECUP) Recognition

    The Philippine Registry of Cultural Property (PRECUP), established through Article V Section 4 of the National Heritage Act of 2009 (Republic Act No. 10066, is the repository of all important cultural properties of the Philippines.

    The CCP shall identify the different important cultural properties based on the criteria provided for in Section 5 of RA 10066: National Cultural Heritage Act of 2009.

    Section 5. Cultural Property Considered Important Cultural Property. – For purposes of protecting a cultural property against exportation, modification, or demolition, the following works shall be considered important cultural property, unless declared otherwise by the pertinent cultural agency:

    Unless declared by the Commission,

    (a)Works by a Manlilikha ng Bayan;

    (b)Works by a National Artist;

    As such, works by Manlilikha ng Bayan and National Artists, shall be recognized as an important cultural property as marked by the PRECUP logo:

  3. Services
    1. Viewing Room Use

      2. Viewing rooms are personalized online links provided by the CCP which streams the Content for a limited period. Use of Content for educational purposes such as research, dissertation, journal article, critical paper or other private viewings may be allowed to use the CCP Collections Viewing Room Service. Requestors using this service are prohibited from downloading, copying, reproducing or circulating the Content.

    2. Portfolio Use

      3. Access of materials under the portfolio use are limited only to persons or organizations who were part of the requested production. Content may be downloaded but can only be used for personal, archival, and non-commercial uses.

    3. Non-Profit Use

      4. This service includes the distribution or circulation of Content for purposes of public showing or targeted audience using any mass communications medium such as but not limited to television broadcast, radio, print, use as production material, or any online platform without any profit

    4. Commercial Use

      5. This service includes the distribution or circulation of Content for purposes of public showing or targeted audience using any mass communications medium such as but not limited to television broadcast, radio, print, use as production material, or any online platform which involve sales, financial gain or raising funds

  4. Copyright Complaints

    5. Authors, artists, their heirs, assigns, or party/ies-in-interest may prevent or disallow the use of their copyrighted work/s, or request to remove other material/s which infringes their original copyrighted work/s on the CCP website. Removal of such materials may be requested from the CCP Collections by submitting an email notice to: collections@culturalcenter.gov.ph with subject: Attn: Copyright Claim

    With the following requirements:

    • ‘Wet signature’ or electronic signature verifiable through a trusted third party.
    • Identification of the copyrighted work to be removed from the CCP website, or, if the claim involves multiple works on the website, a representative list of such works;
    • Identification of the material alleged to infringe the original copyrighted work.
    • Contact details ( name, address, telephone number and e-mail address);
    • A statement that the information in the written notice is accurate and true.
  5. Third-Party Sites

    6. Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

    CCP shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.

  6. Indemnity

    7. User agrees to release, indemnify, and hold the CCP harmless from all claims, causes of action, allegations, costs, expenses, fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees), judgments, liabilities, losses, and damages arising from or relating to your use of the CCP Collections and/or any Content.

  7. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

    8. The CCP Collections is published in the Republic of the Philippines and shall be subject to its pertinent laws, rules and regulations. All personal information submitted, including those from persons located outside the Philippines, shall be used, transferred, stored, and processed in accordance with the provisions of CCP Collection’s Privacy Policy, Data Privacy Act, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

    9. By using the Website, the user agrees that CCP may collect, use, and disclose information that you provide as described in the Privacy Statement and CCP Collections User Agreement.
